Travel agents report that bookings for foreign holidays are significantly down this year as holidaymakers face uncertainty of flight availability due to the Icelandic volcano and continuing strike threat at BA.

UK holiday bookings are up however as the UK keeps its fingers crossed for a long hot summer – 2010 looks to be the year of the ‘staycation’.
